Swollen Gums - The Result Of Poor Oral Hygiene And Other Factors
You are not totally alone if you have dental problem like swollen gums and gingivitis. Three out of four adults have gum disease. And mostly this bad gum condition results from poor oral hygiene, not brushing and flossing teeth correctly or often enough and not having teeth professionally cleaned on a regular basis. These are other factors that may increase the risk for developing gingivitis gum disease. And stress is a huge factor. Hormonal imbalances like pregnancy, menstruation and changing hormones during adolescence can increase swollen gums and gingivitis flare-up.
