Melatonin is a popular sleep aid

As well as other biorhythms, melatonin is a hormone responsible for regulating sleep and waking cycles is one popular sleep aid. This substance is naturally created in our bodies but its production turns down as we grow. Studies show that its effects have helps users to fall asleep faster, but have no effect on total sleep time.
